2.The state of the atmosphere? weather. To walk or step on? tread. In place of? instead. Prepared? ready.
3.Write opposites for: steady? unsteady. dead? alive. pleasant? unpleasant.
4.Can you tread though a meadow? yes. Would finding treasure be a dreadful or a pleasure? It would be a pleasure. Would a feather stay steady in wind weather? no.
